Mother Balaika finds herself in good company in this case, and especially in proven company. Dam Balaika was sold in 2004 as a 3 year old for €75.000,-- at the Elite Fences auction in France. She is a sister of the stallion Lambic van Strokapelleken. But the best known is probably her sister Hija van Strokapelleken. This international top mare jumped with McLain Ward and Ramiro Quintana at 1m60 level. Besides Hija, the grandmother of this foal has three other jumping horses that jumped at least at 1m40 level. That is characteristic for the power of this line.
