€75,000 FOR ZANGERSHEIDE STALLION ETERNAL SUNSHINE

The show jumping summer edition of HorseSales.Auction proved to be a well-attended auction, with some significant highlights. Interest in Eternal Sunshine had already been high in the run-up to the event. And following a fierce bidding battle between a buyer from the Netherlands and a Brazilian stud farm, it was Venezuela that secured the horse at the last minute for €75,000.
 

A returning Irish buyer also did good business. For his son, who competes internationally, the standout horses Tobias C and young talent Balouetta PS were secured for €25,000 and €29,000 respectively.
 

This strong edition, where the collection comprised a mix of free-jumping horses and ridden competition horses, was a great success for both buyers and consignors, with several sales exceeding €20,000. 

Thus, the superbly jumping Ukato offspring Pegaas heads to Mexico for €20,000, the Airplaine offspring Thamara is flying to Australia for €18,500, the Eldorado vd Zeshoek son Everyday Pleasure will begin his sporting career in Chile for €21,000, and the strikingly coloured Entargo of Elestorp and Aganix du Seigneur daughter Whitney de Kalvarie, among others, were sold to Sweden for over €17,000. 

Following United Touch’s victory in Aachen earlier on the final afternoon, all eyes were on the embryos offered from his three-quarter sister. Entirely in line with expectations, the combination with Comme il Faut is heading to a German stud farm for €9,000. And we see the combination of Chacoon Blue out of Utopia, the daughter of the Olympic Zypria and sister of United Touch, heading to a German sport stable. Perhaps to follow in the footsteps of… You guessed it, this story may well be continued!
