WHAT FIGURES! 31 OUT OF 35 FOALS SOLD, WITH A TOP LOT OF €30,000!

Jul 2, 2026

The first round immediately set the tone for HorseSales.Auction. With a top lot of €30,000 for U Touch the Moon PM (by United Touch). Thanks to several strong sales, we achieved an average price of nearly €10,000 and, with a sales rate of 31 out of 35, came very close to our much-desired 100 per cent sales rate.

But back to the auction evening. It went exactly as it should have. With 35 foals by proven sires paired with international dam lines, interest was already high in the run-up to the event. Enquiries, viewings and extra videos. We tried to cater as specifically as possible to everyone who showed an interest in our collection. And that paid off. Ahead of the final on Sunday, several foals were already commanding substantial bid amounts. Although some interested parties only seized their chance at the very last moment.

Perhaps the finest example was the battle for the auction’s star lot, U Touch the Moon PM. This raged fiercely between prospective buyers from Austria, Ireland and Morocco, with the latter ultimately coming out on top. A nice touch: his new owner has already booked her flights to come and view him as soon as possible.

It was one of the standout stories on an evening where nearly two-thirds of the foals managed to break the €10,000 mark. Cafeine Kickey by Catoki is heading to a racing stable in Germany. So too is Eclipse SJ, a daughter of Ermitage Kalone. Interest in the Pacino offspring Porsche naturally came from Ireland. Sweden was also very much in the running and managed to secure, amongst others, the Aganix du Seigneur offspring Abracadabra. A special moment, incidentally: this marks the seventh consecutive auction year that this former rider has invested in a foal via HorseSales.Auction.

Although we always aim for 100 per cent, we are satisfied with the result, which always leaves room for improvement. With that in mind, we will also be filming the foals for the next three editions. And you, too, are once again most welcome to bring your interesting show-jumping-bred foals.

For those who were eager to get started straight away, fifteen young show jumping prospects had been selected. Interest proved to be high. Opportunities were seized by Belgian show jumpers, amongst others. They brought Catie Blue to their sports stables and enjoyed immediate success at a show this weekend. Amalia T is set for a wonderful trip to South Africa, where she will be welcomed with open arms by a young female rider. Meanwhile, Aachen Peguignon is heading in the opposite direction to Sweden, where several bidders vied for the niece of the five-star Grand Prix stallion HH Conrad.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank, in particular, our returning bidders and buyers for their trust and support, especially during the seventh auction year of HorseSales.Auction. We also wish all our newly registered members, who have already had the chance to experience success, the very best of luck with their new purchases.
