A stylish finish: €65,500 for auction highlight Lanturano
Four foal auction rounds. And all ended in success. Team HorseSales.Auction has made a name for itself as an online auction house. And it enjoyed several highlights during this edition too, including Cifer Touch (Comme il Faut), sold for €23,000; Hot Touch L Z (Heartbreaker), sold for €20,000; and Eternity Now Bellamare Z (Emerald), sold for €21,000. In figures: an average of nearly €10,000, with 36 out of 40 foals finding new owners. The excitement reached another peak the following day during the youngsters’ auction when, amongst others, Lanturano (€65,500), Thunder van de Rietvenne (€27,000), Cortez (€21,000), Elena AL Z (€27,000) and Coco Chanel van het Dielshof (€30,000) all found new owners.
A great success. That is the prevailing feeling following the last two editions of HorseSales.Auction. On Sunday evening, as is tradition, the focus was on the foals. Following the video day, there was already great anticipation for the presentation of Cifer Touch, a son of Comme il Faut. He stood out not only for his colour and movement, but also for his pedigree. He also caught the eye of three American five-star riders, who joined forces and were over the moon after making their purchase. A Polish breeder saw her efforts rewarded by travelling to our video day with her top foal, Eternity Now Bellemare Z (Emerald). That commitment paid off, as the grandson of United Touch is heading to a Estionian investor who has been making his presence felt at auctions more frequently this season. There were two reasons why the Akarad Hero daughter Amour Glace was in such high demand. A buyer who, three years earlier, had acquired the HorseSales.Auction reference Eduoardo RH Z for his stable, entered into a bidding war with the previous owner of the dam. The latter ultimately came out on top for €15,000.
The young show jumpers also attracted considerable international interest. And a few top lots are heading all over the world. An American bidding war for Lanturano (Levi VDL) went up to €65,500. He will find his new home overseas. The same goes for the Cicero offspring Cortez, who also attracted significant interest from Belgium, the US and Germany. Thunder van de Rietvenne (United Touch) will undergo a stallion licensing programme in Europe before heading to a returning stallion sport stable in New Zealand. New clients from Poland secured the talented Coco Chanel van het Dielshof (Cornet Obolensky) for €30,000. That is, incidentally, the same direction in which Siem PH (Colestus) will be heading, for €12,000.
Success is motivating. And behind the scenes, preparations for the next rounds are well under way! You can get involved too!
