Twelve lots above €10,000 and a highlight of €23,000 for United Kingdom RV Z
Whilst autumn is just beginning to make its presence felt, things were still as hot as summer on the screens at HorseSales.Auction. And, not entirely as a surprise, United Kingdom RV Z (United Touch) was crowned the auction’s top lot for €23,000. The cousin of, amongst others, the Grand Prix stallions IronMan, Jenson and Denzel vh Meulenhof is set to become HorseSales.Auction’s second benchmark horse, heading to an Italian sport stable. Early consignors saw their athletic and strikingly beautiful Cornell W&M Z (Colestus) go for €20,000 to a Chinese/Dutch syndicate. Meanwhile, the virtual hammer fell at €14,000 for horses including Airtag van de Kruishorst (Aganix du Seigneur) and the strikingly marked Aparto van Rechteren (Akarad Hero). In figures, more than 90 per cent of the foals found a new owner via HorseSales.Auction at an average price approaching €10,000.
Even at the height of the foal auction season, HorseSales.Auction continues to stand out. And at the time of writing, the team is working hard to round up the sales percentage, which now stands at well over 90 per cent. Quite apart from the average price approaching €10,000, this edition is, of course, once again a source of satisfaction! This average is partly due to the fact that no fewer than 12 foals were sold for over €10,000.
The fact that online bidders continue to find their way to HorseSales.Auction is still seen as something special. After seven years of active auctions, we now know a large number of them personally. But the enthusiasm and appreciation we received once again from new bidders and buyers during this edition is also incredibly rewarding. And we are happy to share this with the HorseSales.Auction team and all the consignors involved.
Speaking of new bidders, five-star Grand Prix riders made their moves, and Dua Lipa van de Wittemoere (Emerald), amongst others, has found her new home at one of these stables. Winning Touch Q was also purchased by new buyers from the international Grand Prix circuit, who hope to shine with her at competitions in a few years’ time. In the same vein, we also expect that horses such as White Wonder WD (Emerald), Tiago Bro Z (Tobago), Hole in One RV Z (Heartbreaker), AirTag van de Kruishorst (Aganix du Seigneur), Airtime CDH (Akarad Hero), Akaradanos C G Z (Akarad Hero) and Astrix Nutrix Z (Aganix du Seigneur) will establish themselves as competitive assets under their new riders.
